Silentpcreview check out Scythe's Kama Grand Cross CPU cooler

"We were skeptical at first about how well the Scythe Grand Kama Cross would perform due to its relatively modest surface area and tightly spaced fins— this combination typically spells lower performance for quiet CPU cooling. These fears proved to be unfounded as the GKC performed very well on our testbed, even rivalling some very successful tower coolers. The included 140 mm Slip Stream fan is probably the best stock fan that ships with any heatsink, both in terms of performance and acoustics."

Lawrence Lee - Silentpcreview.com

Overclock3d test the Scythe Yasya CPU cooler

"All in all, we quite like what the cooler has to offer. Out of the box, you are provided with a multi socket compliant heatsink and a respectable 120mm fan to boot. The installation process is quick and simple, while the performance is very much in line with similarly priced examples. You can buy the Scythe Yasya for as little as £36.59 today, which in our opinion makes the cooler an excellent purchase. Well done Scythe."

ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead UH1H tribute video featuring TrackIR

rommel from the AusArma.org community has posted a new video made from ingame footage taken in ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead. Aside from being an awesome video featuring a truly legendary helo, it also gives a good demo of what using a TrackIR in the gunner position of an ArmA2 chopper looks like. Nice! If you haven't checked out NaturalPoint's TrackIR before, be sure to watch this nutshell intro video. There is an extensive list of reviews on NaturalPoint's site here.

Overclockersclub take a look round an Element V from Thermaltake Note: Black Editions now in stock!

"ThermalTake has added yet another impressive case to its Element Series lineup. It contends with the competition in performance and is even able to support some server motherboards through support of EATX which is a nice bonus. The case is also still expandable by adding on another top 200mm fan. It also supports a large amount of whatever combinations of 3.5" and 5.25" devices you want to throw at it. It also has many cool features used on it that the Armor Series has, which I like seeing on this case a lot, such as the side panel buttons and keyed lock, which makes this case great at LANs when you want to keep your stuff safe.... If you're building a server with dual Xeons, this probably would be a great case for you, but if you really don't need the extra space of a full-tower, a mid-tower will do. But with the size of the latest video cards from ATI and with Nvidia on the horizon, a larger case may provide that piece of mind if you are a gamer that is serious about their hardware."

Compxpert - Overclockersclub.com

We now have two colourshifting Element V full tower versions in stock - the standard Element V and the Element V Black Edition. Looking for a PSU for your colourshift Element chassis? Well, the EVO Blue series is the way to go! Want a window in your colourshift PSU? (No - I'm not kidding!) How about a Warlock from Apevia?

Bigbruin check out eDimensional's AudioFX Pro 5.1 headset

"The AudioFX Pro 5+1 PC Gaming Headset by Ben Heck offer many features that would appeal to anyone in need of a new audio solution for their PC gaming setup. Among other things they are comfortable, attractive, provide a convincing surround sound effect, and you don't need to worry about the quality of your sound card since one isn't needed at all. And a major plus for me as someone who doesn't speak that often in games is that the microphone is situated off to the side and can be swiveled up to get it completely out of your field of view."

Jason Kohrs - Bigbruin.com

The AudioFX Pro is part of the outstanding range of bass boosting AudioFX headsets from eDimensional we have available. As a simulation (aka serious!) gamer myself, I find the excellent bass enhancement and force feedback features on these headsets perfect for engine noise, no matter it be racing or flying games. You'll also love the explosions in all FPS games from Call Of Duty to ArmA. So get serious - get AudioFX!

Another Tt review & OMG ITS NOT THE A90! Pcper do the Toughpower XT 775W PSU

"The Thermaltake Toughpower XT Series 775W PSU delivered very good voltage regulation with excellent efficiency. The XT 775W is relatively quiet, runs cool during normal operation, and includes a good compliment of modular cables/connectors. And Thermaltake (CWT) finally has the AC ripple under control. Overall, the Toughpower XT 775W is an excellent PSU and the best unit Thermaltake has brought to market – well done."

Lee Garbutt - Pcper.com

The new Toughpower XT PSU series is now in stock. We sell a lot of power supply units. We'll have a suitable unit for your requirements from 430w - all the way to 1500w!

Motherboards.org review the Thermaltake Armor A90

"The Armor A90 case from Thermaltake retails for under $100. For that price you get some advanced features including water-cooling compatible holes, bottom mounted PSU, tool-less drive installation and more. Aesthetically, the case with its all black interior and exterior screams excellent design and craftsmanship. The inclusion of four USB 2.0 ports and external SATA on the FP I/O are more indications of an excellent design. Thermaltake has done a great job with their Armor A90 case and it is worthy of purchase for those looking in this price range for a new case. Cooling on the case is sufficient for most users with a Front, a Rear and a Top fan installed and the options for two more fans if you want. For those wanting good features, nice aesthetics and an under a $100.00 price, the new Thermaltake A90 is a solid Hot Product."

Benjamin Sun - Motherboards.org

The Armor A90 is sure turning the reviewer's heads! Great features for a reasonoble asking price is the nutshell for all the reviews we've featured on the A90 to date. Remember: Is Thermaltake, IS AWESOME!!

Techgage review Thermaltake's Frio CPU cooler

"I must say that I was very impressed with Thermaltake's FRIO. For ~$59.99 USD, you get one hell of a performer that is capable of hanging with the best of the best in terms of currently available models across all manufacturers. I was nothing short of amazed at my stress-testing results... The overall package is also something to be praised. The simple back plate design and the inclusion of two-speed controllable fans makes this a very complete and well-thought-out design. Setup and installation is simple enough so that even the novice installer should have little issue in completing the installation. I cannot emphasize the huge benefit of the overall size of the FRIO as well. Coming in at 165mm H x 139mm W x 98mm/118mm D (depending on single/dual fan configuration) you are almost assured you will have the space to put this part on your board without worrying about interference. Performance seems to be of more importance than size for most people, so this is a very welcome aspect to me. I, for one, just do not like the fact that CPU sockets are ever encroaching memory and PCI-E slot territory. It is great to see a design that takes this into account."

William Kelley - Techgage.com

The Frio is a great example of the huge range of excellent CPU coolers now in stock. We also have the recently released SpinQ VT and Contac29 available, all part of the refreshed Thermaltake range. Go Tt!

Thermaltake Armor A90 review by Dragonsteelmods

"The Thermaltake Armor A90 case is a great addition to the Armor series of cases truly. The case is very well made with a lot of room inside for larger video cards and lots of hard drives. The black on black and angular motif works very well together, it certainly is a unique looking case. If you're looking for a nice gaming case then I can recommend you take a closer look at the Armor A90. DragonSteelMods gives the Thermaltake Armor A90 PC Case a 4.5 out of 5 score and our Recommended Award"

G.Skill Falcon II 64GB SSD review by Overclockersonline

"If I can describe the G.Skill Falcon II in one word, I would have to go with “fast” because this drive performs extremely well, especially when compared to the 5400RPM drive I am used to. With read and write speeds upwards of 150 MB/s, everything just feels so much snappier. Programs seem to open almost instantly, file transfers take less time, and my old Dell XPS m1330 laptop has become very snappy and feels like new again."

Tweaktown review the Thermaltake Armor A90 - now in stock!

"I can’t really pick on anything Thermaltake did wrong in or out of the Armor A90. So I will just point out the things I did like. Painting a chassis inside and out is a must on my list, one check in the plus column. It needs to be unique, and something not everyone else on the planet has, check two for Thermaltake. Tool-less drive bays, dust filters for the power supply and the intake, different fan options, the list just goes on and on, and I didn’t even touch on the cable management, which is really good in the A90 by the way. It is sad, but $100 will barely get you a night out on the town with a friend or spouse these days. I mean let’s be honest; the all mighty dollar isn’t what it used to be. With that in mind, I feel what is offered inside and out of the A90 is worth what the MSRP is set at."

Engadget: Thermaltake shoves SATA HDD docks into V9 BlacX Edition PC enclosure

PC chassis enthusiasts (yeah, there is such a thing) will surely know that Thermaltake's V9 Black Edition has been out for a couple of years now, but there's evidently quite a bit of difference in the V9 BlacX Edition. Aside from that awkward letter change, of course. The otherwise ho hum mid-tower enclosure -- complete with a black outer shell, seven PCI expansion slots and a grand total of ten drive bays -- spruces things up by offering a pair of SATA HDD docks right on the front panel. Basically, the company took one of these right here and smashed it into the front of its newest enclosure. With it, you'll able to shove any spare 2.5- or 3.5-inch SATA hard drive right into your system for quick access, all without needing an external peripheral to do it. In fact, we just made a promise to ourselves to never buy another case without this kind of magnificent integration.

V9 blacX will be in stock this July.

Auzentech X-Fi Bravura 7.1 reviews

"There is no questioning the pedigree to which the X-Fi Bravura is associated with a high sound quality across all forms of media. Perhaps not quite as strong in the gaming scene, the card still performs well and excels, in particular, for music and movies with a high dynamic range, clarity and overall experience.... The defining feature of any sound card has to be its enjoyment factor though and enjoy the X-Fi Bravura we sure did with the improved sound quality adding to the surround experience whether it is through music, movies or during gaming... The bottom line is, the Auzentech X-Fi Bravura with its superb sound quality, high calibre components and OPAMP upgradability, should be one of the first on your list if you’re looking to upgrade or invest in a fantastic sound card."

JoeB - Xsreviews.co.uk

"the Auzentech X-Fi Bravura is a very well designed sound card, as we have grown to expect from the company. It delivers decent audio quality over the analog multi-channel output, but where it really shines is the discrete amplified headphone circuit for audiophiles preferring to listen to music with the cans."

Guru3d Auzentech soundcard reviews

Gurd3d X-Fi Bravura 7.1 & X-Fi HomeTheater HD HDMI v1.3a soundcard reviews:

"Although we would consider this card to be meant more for movies and music, a point to which Auzentech also suggests, this card can hold its own for gaming. We think with the CPU becoming more powerful and offering multiple cores, software based cards can now compete closely with hardware based gaming cards in many situations.... Given the price point, great sound quality, OPAMP options, powerful headphone amp and component choices we give the Bravura our recommended award. This is a great sounding card"

"Based on our testing, the sound quality produced by the Home Theater HD 7.1 and the sheer features set this card is highly recommend by the Guru3D audio Lab.
If you’re looking for an excellent sounding well rounded audio card, you can put the Auzentech Home Theater HD 7.1 to the top of your list"

Thermaltake Armor A90 review round up - this chassis is now in stock

"I like the way this case looks, feels, and performs. There is plenty of room inside of the Armor A90 even though it is considered a mid tower case. It can fit up to a 11.5" card, as long as there are not hard drives in the way. There is also a nice amount of area behind the hard drive cages for tucking wires. It is quiet, sleek, and is also not too flashy or bright. I like the painted interior, as well as the paint on the outside, because of its smooth and durable finish."

Airman - Overclockersclub.com

"What we can tell you is the new Armor A90 is a good looking case that has the ability to appeal to the professional as well as the gamer. Yes, the case is just that appealing. And what else is appealing is the price point."

Tony Walker - Pro-clockers.com

"The aesthetics are very nice, the features are solid, the cooling is impressive... and the price is right. Considering what you get at for the price here, the Thermaltake ARMOR A90 is a great deal."

Kip Rouse - Pureoverclock.com

"Thermaltake Armor A90 is an excellent case for its price tag, providing an excellent value for users wanting a good yet affordable computer case."

"No doubt this is another great case from Thermaltake, especially at its price tag! Overall ThinkComputers gives the Thermaltake Armor A90 a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!"

Tweaknews feature the Lian Li PC-P50WB

"With classic good looks, the chassis makes a bold statement without going over the top with excess bling. The PC-P50WB is advertised as totally tool-free and I was able to accomplish the installation without any tools at all. I particularly like the expansion card locking mechanism and this feature is by far the best of its kind. The optical and hard drive mounting solutions are also tooless and quite nice, and Lian Li has even made installing the motherboard an easily accomplished task without having to resort to any tools. Cable management features abound and the case was a real pleasure to work in. Cooling performance was excellent and fan noise was quite acceptable, giving this chassis a wide audience among PC enthusiasts. The fit and finish are top notch and I couldn't be more pleased with the features and performance of the Lian LI PC-P50WB."

Joe Anderson - Tweaknews.net

Read the full review here and the nutshell here. Mid Tower chassis are quite the rage presently and the PC-P50WB is only one single example of the PC-P50 series from Lian Li that we keep in stock. If you liked the P50WB features, but are looking for a lower price option, the Lancool K62 series is what you're looking for. Mad love for the red internals!!!

Legitreviews examine the Scythe Yasya CPU cooler

"I’m happy with the Scythe Yasya CPU cooler. It has a very unique look to it with the Trident Multi Layer Fin design and the fins themselves have a mirror finish to them. The fan was a little different with the fan controller on the PWM fan, but it allows you to fine tune the fan to the noise/performance level you want.... the whole installation is tool-less and took less than 2 minutes to install.... you don't have to remove the motherboard to take off the CPU cooler"

Shane Higgins - Legitreviews.com

Techpowerup review the Noctua NH U9B SE2 CPU cooler

"Noctua's NH-U9B SE2 has proven to be a decent performer. Its quality and bundled accessories set it apart from the rest of the competition. As usual, Noctua has bundled the cooler with easy to install mounting hardware for almost every current CPU socket along with a pair of excellent 92 mm fans, thermal grease, and tools to make installation a breeze. The included fans are near silent at normal 12V operation but there are also four voltage regulation adapters that, when utilized, drop the fan to 7V, or 5V to further decrease fan noise. Noctua's design also provides airflow for components around the CPU socket to aid in cooling of secondary heat sources."

Fitseries3 - Techpowerup.com

Noctua NH-C12P SE14 CPU Cooler on pro-clockers

Noctua has once again impressed us with another cooler. Time and time again we have seen Noctua put out great coolers. The C12P SE14 will not allow you to achieve the ultimate overclock but it will allow you to keep your rig quiet while providing better than good cooling. Hopefully, we don’t have any single fan coolers to put it up against but we are confident it would have held its own against them.

The Jing is out! Jing! Come-on say it out loud Jing I love the name of this baby.

One is said to be born with a set amount of jīng (pre-natal jīng, also sometimes called yuan qi) and also can acquire jīng from food and various forms of stimulation (exercise, study, meditation.) Theoretically, jīng is consumed continuously in life; by everyday stress, illness, substance abuse, sexual intemperance, etc. Pre-natal jīng by definition cannot be renewed, and it is said it is completely consumed upon dying.

ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead release date & title information

Pushing the boundaries of what we'd all thought possible in a first person shooter only a few years ago, Bohemia Interactive preps their next title for launch 29 June 2010 worldwide. Called ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead, this ground breaking new PC games’ campaign enables players to engage the enemy as members of the United States Army in a fictional region of west Asia named Takistan, where the terrain is based loosely on Afghanistan. Operation Arrowhead will include three massive maps (you think Battlefield has BIG maps - think again!), a variety of new units, vehicles and equipment along with a full single player/coop campaign. Among the new units are a wide array of US Army personal and vehicles, Czech forces, UN peacekeepers and German KSK units. Some awesome new features are included in this coming standalone game title (which can also be merged with the original ArmA 2 for addition content). You can check out an in game video showing off NaturalPoint's TrackIR being used whilst piloting the AH-64 Apache gunship and also check out the full Operation Arrowhead teaser video.

As a long time ArmA player, I like to pack the following kit for *every* mission - it is well tested, works well and I highly recommend all the below listed peripherals for useage in the ArmA & ArmA2 series of games:

NaturalPoint TrackIR 5 Ultra headtracker.
PD Scientific Devour gamepad.
Logitech G35 gaming headset.
CH Products Multi Function Panel for easy keystroke emulation.

When I'm flying in game, I swear by my Topgun pack. You will too!

PC gaming is dead huh??? Well, as I'm sure you're all aware - PC GAMING IS NOT ALLOWED TO DIE WITHOUT PERMISSION - and I've not given any permission along those lines at all... And it doesn't look like any software developers have either! There are lots of great PC platform only titles due out in 2010, so get ready resellers!!!
